These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Bitzee Initiative (hereinafter "Bitzed" or "Company"), a company based in Zambia. Bitzed enables users to buy Bitcoin using mobile money and spend Bitcoin through the Bitcoin Lightning Network. By registering to the Bitzed platform and using our services, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted all the Terms and Conditions. Bitzed reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
Bitzed provides a Bitcoin Lightning Network payment platform that enables users to buy and spend Bitcoin. Users can buy Bitcoin using mobile money payments, and spend Bitcoin through the Bitcoin Lightning Network for fast and low-cost transactions. Our service facilitates transactions using mobile money for purchasing Bitcoin and the Lightning Network for spending Bitcoin. Bitzed does not operate as a digital asset exchange and does not set prices; it merely facilitates payments for users from Bitcoin to mobile money and vice versa, acting as a virtual asset merchant agent or payment intermediary.
Bitzed does not take custody of users' digital assets. We do not hold, store, or control your Bitcoin or other digital assets. All Bitcoin spending transactions are processed directly through the Bitcoin Lightning Network, and you maintain full control and custody of your funds at all times. When you buy Bitcoin using mobile money, the transaction is processed through our payment processing service, but we do not take custody of your Bitcoin. Bitzed simply facilitates access to mobile money payment processing for buying Bitcoin and the Lightning Network infrastructure for spending Bitcoin.
By using Bitzed services, you represent, consent, and warrant that:
Bitzed's service involves facilitating mobile money payments for buying Bitcoin and Bitcoin Lightning Network transactions for spending Bitcoin. This is a payment processing service, not a sale of digital assets by you to Bitzed, nor a conversion of digital assets from one form to another. Bitzed does not provide exchange services or act as a marketplace for digital assets.

By using Bitzed, you acknowledge that digital currency transactions carry significant risks, including:
Bitzed does not guarantee the future value of any digital or fiat currency. We are not responsible for any financial losses, delays, failed transactions, or damages arising from your use of Bitzed. You use Bitzed entirely at your own risk.
You acknowledge that you have carefully assessed your financial standing and risk tolerance, and confirm that they are suitable for using digital assets. The Company is not responsible for the outcome, whether positive or negative, of any action performed by any user within or related to the Service.
When Buying and Spending Bitcoin, applicable mobile money fees and Bitzed service fees will be disclosed before you confirm the transaction. All fees are non-refundable. Bitcoin transactions processed through the Lightning Network are generally irreversible, and we cannot reverse or cancel completed Lightning Network transactions. Mobile money transactions are subject to the terms and conditions of your mobile money provider.
It is your responsibility to determine, collect, report, and submit any taxes applicable to your use of Bitzed's services, including any obligations under Zambia's tax laws related to digital assets. Bitzed does not collect, report, or remit taxes on your behalf. You should consult a qualified tax advisor to understand your individual tax liabilities under Zambian law. Bitzed is not liable for any taxes, penalties, or interest imposed by the Zambia Revenue Authority or any other tax authority arising from your use of our services.
We do not guarantee that your use of the Service will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue, or change all or any part of the Service without notice. We will not be liable to you for any losses incurred if the Service is unavailable at any time or for any period. You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the Service through your device are aware of these Terms and Conditions and comply with them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitzed, its affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for lost profits or any special, incidental, or consequential damages; losses due to Bitcoin price volatility; losses due to network failures, hacking, security breaches, or technical issues affecting mobile money services or the Lightning Network; losses resulting from user error, negligence, or providing incorrect information; losses due to mobile money payment failures or Lightning Network connectivity issues; or any transaction failure or loss caused due to any fault on your part. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount of the transaction(s) that are the subject of the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Bitzee Initiative or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by amending this page. Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes, as they are binding on you. We may, without prior notice, change the Services, add or remove functionalities, or create usage limits for the Services.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Bitzee Initiative regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zambia. Any disputes shall be handled under Zambian jurisdiction and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.
